Design Futurism
In a time of rapid and expansive technological advances, visual saturation, and increasingly intricate systems, how can design guide how we live, work, and travel?
Design is, at its root, optimistic problem-solving that provides aesthetic and structure to guide change. Art notifies. Design solves. Design Futurism is more than speculation, it is an opportunity to explore the past and look forward with a strategic eye.
Design Futurism will endeavor to consider how we move forward, together, by design.
The LA Design Festival is the only biennial, citywide event of its kind as a multi-day and disciplinary celebration that connects Los Angeles’ deep design culture and community. Our annual, tent pole event takes form over the course of a four day festival where we experience studio tours, panel discussions, salons, curated exhibits and installations, gallery shows, and a block party.
Throughout the year LADF hosts community events and programming that brings Los Angeles' creative community together for growth, connection, and conversation.
